Cybersecurity in Italy has recently become more of an issue due to the country’s rapidly developing digital landscape and increasing cyber threats. The Italian government, private cybersecurity companies, and universities are all responding with initiatives to improve their digital security.

Cybersecurity is becoming an increasingly popular topic in the Italian media and within academia, and there are several events and conferences to help advance the understanding and practice of IT security. The European Forum on Cybersecurity (EFCS) is the largest annual cybersecurity event in Italy, which brings together experts, practitioners, and researchers from around the world for a series of discussions and lectures.

The Italian government has established several data security initiatives, such as the National Data Security Plan which guides the state’s efforts in protecting sensitive data and reducing cyber threats. 18th May 2026 | Red Hot Cyber Conference 2026

The Red Hot Cyber Conference, is the free annual event created by the RHC community to raise interest in digital technologies, digital innovation and cyber risk awareness.

The Fifth Edition, RHC Conference 2026 will be held in Rome, on Monday 18 May (hands-on workshop and Capture The Flag only) and Tuesday 19 May (Conference and Capture The Flag) at Teatro Italia in Via Bari, 18 00161 Roma. Teatro Italia is a 20-minute walk from Termini Station and a 6-minute walk from Metro B in Piazza Bologna (about 600 metres).

As in previous years, there will be the possibility of joining as a “supporting sponsor”. These are the first companies that believe in this initiative and will enable Red Hot Cyber to start work on the conference. In addition, only one of these can join the “Workshop Sponsorship”, which allows the sponsor to play a decisive role in the event and work closely with Red Hot Cyber to organise the day's workshops and young people. These workshops in “hands-on” mode allow young people to be introduced to the world of technology and cyber security.

In addition to the supporting sponsors, as usual there will be 3 sponsorship levels, which are Platinum, Gold and Silver respectively. Coupled with each conference sponsorship, there will always be an advertising package that will allow sponsors to enjoy a range of benefits within the Red Hot Cyber circuit.
